About the Team

Expanding on that mission statement, our IT Department focuses on creating proactive, preventative solutions, and positive relationships with our customers. By being proactive, the team can address technical issues before they become incidents, reducing customer frustration. Preventative measures ensure that we are helping the company and our customers to achieve its goals, and positive relationships increase trust and collaborative efforts, which is especially important when providing remote support. Our team is growing both in scale, and in skill to support the company’s growth.

Position Description

The Technical Support Specialist III is a position that requires a high level of technical expertise. As a Technical Support Specialist III, you will be responsible for managing the tools and systems the IT Department uses daily. This includes managing imaging tools, asset management, and ticketing systems as well as establishing best practices for managing and supporting that hardware. The Technical Support Specialist III will be recognized as the go-to for advanced troubleshooting and resolution tasks, and a leader in technical operations and development. They will assist in coordinating effective use of company resources through purchasing, maintaining, and retiring hardware and software elements.

Position Responsibilities

  • Configure, manage, and secure Mobile Device Management systems.
  • Configure, manage, and secure Windows operating system standards.
  • Configure, manage, and secure OS deployment resources.
  • Configure, manage, and secure application deployment resources.
  • Configure, manage, and secure Asset management and ticketing tools.
  • Test, document, and maintain application source files.
  • Make recommendations for future projects, and for specific hardware, software, and systems.
  • Create documentation appropriate for training Operations and our customers, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Network and Systems Admins to develop projects.
  • Develop, document, and maintain Active Directory and Group Policy standards and procedures.
  • Ensure that all access to management and ticketing resources is secure through Access control and other measures.
  • Provide support for operations team for any tasks and work beyond their ability or access.
  • Configure, manage Windows patching schedules.
  • Provide support for root-cause analysis for any incidents.
  • Be primary contact for end user hardware and operating system incidents.
  • Identify technologies that coincide with current and future company needs, including PC, Mobile Devices, Printers, and any other end-user hardware, operating system, and applications.
  • Develop and lead projects.
  • Other responsibilities relating to systems/server administration as assigned.

Position Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree.
  • 3 years of experience in Windows administration.
  • 3 years of experience in technical resource management.
  • 3 years of experience in advanced troubleshooting.
  • 3 years of experience in active directory and group policy management.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Initiative-taking and independent time management.
  • A strong understanding of Computing/PC principles.
